This series of porcelain vessels explores the idea of imperfection as perfection, essentially beauty. They are inspired by ancient Japanese phiosophies on beauty, in particularly the concept of Wabi-Sabi which expresses beauty as the withered, humble, poor and intimate. Each vessel has its own imperfection, a tear in its surface, which has been glazed in a beautiful green colour. This exaggerates the imperfection of the vessel and also creates its unique sense of character and beauty.
